This year's fair, which will again be a multi-agency project, will
take place on Saturday 29th April in Kingston Market Place during the
Millennium Week celebrations. It will run from 12 noon through to 9.30
pm.
The fair has many facets
- to advertise services provided by the statutory sector.
- giving information on health and health care to communities who
may have difficulty in accessing these services
- promote healthy living
- promote diverse cultures within Kingston and the surrounding
areas
- promote positive images and role models within the black and
minority communities
- foster progressive partnerships, as well as celebrating cultures
through different food and music from the far corners of the world
A number of voluntary organisations were involved in the 1999 event
with stalls giving information and promoting their services. If your
organisation would like to be involved in this event by having a stall
or running an activity during the day then please get in touch with
Maria Tunmer at Kingston and Richmond Health Authority on 020 8339
8135 or Kingston Racial Equality Council on 020 8247 9513.
