Refugee Action Kingston

 

Refugee Action Kingston has now appointed a part time Assistant Caseworker.  Her name is Fay Clough and she will be working the following hours:

Monday 10.00am - 3.00pm
Wednesday 11.00am - 4.00pm
Friday 10.00am - 3.00pm

Fay speaks Farsi and has been involved in work with refugees for some time now.   She will be able to provide practical help to refugee families or individuals living in the borough of Kingston.

Refugee Action Kingston seeks donations for its hardship fund to help more asylum seekers who are not entitled to welfare benefits.  The local authority only provides £26 in food vouchers to ineligible adults and they have no money for basic necessities such as telephone expenses, when visiting solicitors or going to college etc.    We have already set up a fund but desperately need further donations in order to offer meaningful help to those in need.
