STRATEGIC POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT Top
KREC is consulted on wider policy issues by Health Service Provider and we comment on policies particularly areas affecting Black and Minority communities. Such policies include the Kingston Primary Care Trust Annual Delivery Programme, South West London Health Authority Health Improvement Plan and the NHS Plan.

KREC in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Kingston Hospital Trust and others is developing a local interpreting and translation service to meet the linguistic and communication needs of the communities.

KREC facilitates participation in decision making in delivery of health services by encouraging providers to involve Black and Minority community members at all stages of the process and to consult these communities as stakeholders.

KREC conducts research and surveys to inform on policy development. Health and Social Care Survey of Ethnic Minorities in Kingston in 1995.
